A statement released to the City today by SCi, and flagged up by GamesIndustry.biz, read, "The group's strategy is to release its new titles on next-generation consoles once there is a significant installed base... The board of SCi believes the installed base of PlayStation 3 will reach critical mass in the group's 2008 financial year." Apparently, the pair are "currently in advanced stages of development".
What's more, they could shortly be joined by Namco Bandai JRPG Eternal Sonata, which was recently listed on the website of US and Canadian ratings board ESRB as both an Xbox 360 and PS3 title. Namco Bandai refused to comment on whether or not the game would be appearing on Sony's next-gen machine, but the ESRB website is usually a rock-solid source of information.
