Bundles of SingStar PS3 info revealed

Sony has sent out a final fact sheet on SingStar for the PlayStation 3, clarifying just about everything anyone could want to know about SingStar on the next-gen machine.

The company has also officially confirmed what we reported last month: that thirty songs will ship with the Blu-ray disk. Artists like Gwen Stefani, OutKast, Coldplay, Pussycat Dolls, Razorlight and Wolfmother will feature.

The game will also feature customisable playlists, so you can set certain playlists for certain events. The SingStore will feature over 300 tracks ready for download on day one, and supports background downloading, so you can keep singing while you're downloading the latest song. Sony has also confirmed the SingStore will be updated monthly from June.

The game includes new menu skins, backgrounds and new voice effects, while photos, audio and video can all be uploaded directly to My SingStar Online. SingStar for the PlayStation 3 will also work with the PlayStation 2 microphones, and the fact sheet states that wireless microphones are "coming soon".

Did they mention how much the songs would be to download, and possible file sizes?

yeah I'd like to know about the file sizes too (even though I don't have a PS3:))

If they're HD videos then 50G = 9hours, which makes it about 90Mb a minute or about 350Mb for a 3.5 minute song??

Definetly. I wonder how many of the casual PS2 Singstar crowd will actually drop $1K on a console though...

hmmm i honestly dont know, i think it'll pick up throughout those who have the ps3 already and it'll slowly catch on from then like a bush fire i'm thinking. and i guess it'll depend on how retailers will package the deal as well... and advertising is always a big one, see how well it will advertise on television over here once we see a couple of the ad's we might able to get a good grasp of it and try and predict how well it'll do.

there will deffinately be ad's for this game.
