New Heavenly Sword shots unleashed

PS3 News | Good heavens.

Sony has today pumped out a further ten screens for PlayStation 3 blade-swisher Heavenly Sword. The game, which is in development at Ninja Theory, employs a freestyle combat system, along with an impressive array of on-the-fly weapons, not to mention some fairly beefy-looking physics technology.

It also looks pretty damn slick, as you'll see if you click here. Heavenly Sword is penned in for a September release, and is exclusive to Sony's next-gen box.

Good god that game looks amazing!!

I really want a PS3 now!! its already got better graphics than my 360!! wtf.

This is a game im really looking forward to owning, looks great.

Totally agreed, this is the game that made me start wanting a PS3 - and by God it is looking good. I'm really digging the art design on this game, the enviroments are right up my alley.

This is probably the only PS3 game that I'm really chomping at the bit to play (yes, that includes Lair - which still looks like a pile of over-dark and under-saturated mess to me).

I've been waiting for a game to overshadow DMC3's combat depth for some time now. Not only does this game looks utterly incredible, but its combat system..so awesome.

Personaly, I think kameo has better graphics, but HS gameplay looks good.

Seriously didn't care about this two months ago. Since then- reading up on it, looking at videos- I'm frothing.

I also agree Kameo looks way better than this as does Viva Pinata as does Gears of War. The scenery in some of the shots reminds me of a improved Tomb Raider Legend. The game does look good though, when I get around to getting a PS3 ill certainly be picking up this game.

Funny someone else mentioning Tomb Raider... Is anyone else noticing that the way she's standing in some of those shots is very reminiscent of Lara?

Or do all women just stand that way?

Did anyone notice her asscheeks hanging out all the time? Far out, just put a skimpy bikini on her and call it DOA.

Apart from that, its looking great. Tapping into some of the graphical potential, with all those sword-wielding guys on screen and nice environments.

Yep, and all women look that way too.

It's called the woman with serious attitude stance.
Get a woman pissed off and it just comes naturally to them, usually comes complete with crossed arms too.

This game will be totally amazing. They have used motion captue (the golum technology with the same dude incidently playing an elderly man: : - king?) with some of their animations. This game is a big deal.

Hopefully it'll turn out God of War with boobs and a better combat system, not just God of War with boobs.

Yeeeeah, not all that impressed really. It'd probably look a lot better in motion, as we all know screens etc...

Some screens look alright,

others not so much

I do like the sense of scale in this pic though.

At least they laid off the excessive bloom from their E3 showing.
