PlayStation Store updated

PS3 News | Go with the flOw.
The Australian PlayStation Store has been updated for the first time since the PS3 launched just over a week ago.

But while a recent update to the US store saw new movie trailers, a demo, game trailers and a video showcasing PlayStation Home, the Australian store receives just one addition: flOw. The surreal title features 1080p support and SIXAXIS controls, and priced at just AU$8.45 (£3.50 in the UK, where the game is also available) it's definitely worth a look-see.

For more information, check out the game's official website.

There are plenty of free games out there like this. Some are better.

I saw this game was on last nite and bought it instantly (was pretty pissed that it wasn't there at launch). It really is worth a look for 8 bux, very relaxing, stylish an fun.
Now get to work on the bloody PSP/PsOne games, dammit!

I love Fl0w. But what I want to know is how much different this version is from the original? Is it just the HD stuf or are there some bigger differences?

So this is basically a pretty version of Snake?

It's a bit similar to snake except that you get attacked by the things you try to eat and you evolve into different life forms at the end of each level. I'm assuming that the PS3 version has stayed true to the original in that regard anyway.

In the same sense that REZ is basically a pretty version of Panzer Dragoon.

Uhh...Flow is crap and so is Rez compared to Panzer Dragoon. Why would anyone pay $8 for this game on the Ps3 when you can download it for free right now on your pc!

Also I love how Sony are saying backwards compatiability isn't an issue for the Ps3 because you should really be playing the next-gen games that were made to take advantage of the Ps3 hardware. Well I guess Sony putting this game on the Ps3 store must mean it's next-gen worthy! icon_rolleyes.gif

ugh: You're missing the point of the Playstation Store entirely, if you're expecting games like Resistance (which would take up more than my monthly bandwidth).

I personally love the idea of the Playstation Store (and, by default, Xbox Live Arcade and the Wii's Virtual Console). It's nice to be able to quickly download titles like flOw and Lemmings to fill in the time between major releases.

EDIT: Okay, I'd never actually played the PC version until now, and I can categorically say that the PS3 version is officially a hundred billion trillion times better.

^ Yea I was just being a dick....but they were sony's words not mine! I love the Ps3....I just think the whole BC thing was bullsh!t....especially the story they spun about Ps3 being a next-gen machine so it should really only be used for next gen games.
