Factor 5 developing for PS3 e-distribution

PS3 News | 2 games for the PS3 from Factor 5 (that's a lot of prime numbers in one subtitle).
In a recent interview with Gamasutra, Factor 5 company president, Julian Eggebrecht, has revealed that the developer is currently working on a couple of games for release via PlayStation 3’s E-Distribution network.

Factor 5 is also behind the PS3 dragon-rich title, Lair, and is known for its work on the well-received GameCube and Nintendo 64 Star Wars series of Rogue Squadron titles. These lengthy titles often require large amounts of development time and enormous teams to get them finished. Being able to develop a smaller title allows those team members a chance to tackle something slightly smaller and see the outcome of their work sooner, whilst still giving them a creative challenge.

For his part, Eggebrecht believes the PS3's EDI (E-Distribution Initiative) "has huge potential, and personally as a director, I think it's one of these things that we in the creative community need a little bit."

We look forward to seeing what the team, traditionally associated with more epic titles, manage to pump out to the world's PS3s through those tubes that make up the interwebs.

Should be interesting to see what they produce, although I do hope that they have learnt from previous mistakes (on foot missions...)
