PAL March PS3 launch 'still on track'

PS3 News | For the time being.
After Phil Harrison recently refused to confirm that the PlayStation 3 would launch in PAL territories in March, there were a lot of worried PAL gamers. With only 80,000 PlayStation 3's launching in Japan and 400,000 in the US this week, a lot of people expected that we may be waiting even longer.

However, SCEE (Sony Computer Entertainment Europe) has confirmed to Gameindustry.biz that the March date is still likely, with the Sony's corporate communications boss Nick Sharples stating: "We are still very much on track for a March launch in Europe".

For now we can rest a little easier, although a date rather than a month would get us the full eight hours sleep at night.

Of course it is. It'll be 'right on track' up until the moment it's delayed icon_razz.gif

Yep, wondering if we'll get the PS3 before a price drop / bundle occurs in some region first actually...

Well it would have been on track, if came a few months earlier. But I guess PAL territories like delays, not being able import consoles, paying more for a console.

Well, the 360 were not having as BIG of production problems, and they chopped Aussie a futher month down the track. I can't see Europe gettign delayed to much, but Australia, well, do you really think they'll launch here in March?
