Pre E3 2006: Pandemic Studios announces Mercenaries 2

PS3 News | Specific platform to be announced at E3.
Pandemic Studios, to the surprise of no one, has announced that the company is working on a sequel to the successful Mercenaries shooter from last year, entitled Mercenaries 2: World in Flames.

Pandemic Studios ensures gamers that the company has taken full advantage of next-gen technology in creating a ‘more richly detailed, reactive, living world than gamers have ever seen before.’ The game will feature the hottest vehicles and weapons, and a new gameplay system set in a new and exotic location.

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames will make an appearance at E3, where Pandemic Studios is expected to reveal not only more details on the game, but also its intended next-gen console/s appearances.

The game will probably appear on the Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3.

Let me put it bluntly, F**K YEAH?! Fantastic game, one of the best sandbox games I've had the pleasure of playing. The sheer awesome-ness of the airstrikes alone is worth the price of admission! Once you've called in your first bunker buster bomb on the allied MASH, you're sold. There's no escaping the viceral thrill brought forth through carpet bombing an entire city and watching every building in sight crumble to the ground. And there have been no better explosions than the ones found in that game.

Seriously man, do yourself a favor and just buy it. Or at least give it rental. Did I mention I'm feverently looking forward to Mercs 2? I can't begin to imagine how amazing a carpet bombed city would look on the 360 or PS3. That is a city in the process of being bombed... wow. I sound like a republican.

Btw, I would have posed a better defense for the game, but I'm only using my left hand to type, and it's a very slow process. My right hand is occupied... Ok, that sounds very wrong. Trust me, it's very innocent.
