Gran Turismo 5 details

PS3 News | A release date already?

Kazunori Yamauchi, the originator of the Gran Turismo series recently dropped a few details about the upcoming Gran Turismo 5, in an interview with the Car Club Review.

Yamuchi stated that the game should be ready for completion in 2007, and will feature 100 times the details of its predecessor. We're taking all this information lightly though, as we heard the same things when Gran Turismo 4 was in development.

As soon as we get the first official screenshots, we'll post them up.

motorbikes? it would be cool if it had planes or boats and others. it would have to be really good if 100x gt4

Plane racing??? Never heard of it. Do they really race planes?

I hope that Polyphony will not jumble it into a transportation racing bonanza. Cuz I really find true joy when they stuck to the best they do which is automobiles; cars.

Yes, in GT4 they have expanded on the automobile genre more; truck racing. A good addition.

But adding planes and then subsequently boats won't do it for me.

I seriously doubt that Polyphony will add boats and plane races into the game. Motorcycle racing perhaps but even then I doubt that it would happen with Vision Gran Turismo. I mean c'mon, they need to fix half of what they do have first before adding new vehicle additions. IE: the racing aspect and also online. Including all tracks would be nice too, I miss the ones that are lacking in GT4...

IMO, anything other than cars is not needed...

not trucks (as in 18 wheelers i mean... F-trucks and Dodge Rams, sure... they're more cars than trucks IMO)
not Bikes
not boats
not planes
not joggers

and for 1, i'd prefer they didn't add them
