The game adopts the visceral action and visual style of martial arts action movies, and comes with a much-vaunted (by developers Ninja Theory and Sony, anyway) free-style combat system. This means players can freely switch between multiple sword types and a wide range of weapons on-the-fly, which does sound rather neat, we'll admit.
The storyline follows a girl with only a few days left to live, who decides (as you would) to embark on one final act of redemption against a king and his invading army. Perhaps best of all though, we've been informed that enemies will attack in battalions numbering several hundreds at once, pushing real-time AI to levels not yet seen. We've heard these kind of promises before of course, but we'll remain happily open-minded for now.
No release date has been set, or even casually referred to in the vaguest possible fashion.
