The only figure we can really compare is Gigaflops, and 360 clocks 115.2 according to MS's figures, and PS3 clocks 218 according to sony.

Of course these are the companies who promised 120 million polys/sec for xbox and 60 million polys/sec for PS2, so any figures are to be taken with a large rock of salt.

However, if true, the PS3 outperforms the 360 by a factor of two.....

EDIT: Just added this post as a "second opinion" on the article.

mmmm, numbers...

^ they certainly do like pumping out numbers don't they? (they being game companies in general, not Sony, not MS, not Nintendo)

like you implied, numbers are impressive, but whether they are (and how they are) implemented is the important thing...
