More Metal Gear Solid HD Collection details emerge

PS3 News | Like a snake out of the grass.

With the HD remake craze now extending to Konami's classic stealth franchise, some new tidbits of information are being leaked out by Konami - and nobody even had to be tortured to obtain this information.

The collection, to feature on one disc for PlayStation 3 users and two for Xbox 360 users, will boast HD editions of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. On top of these titles, the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will feature conversions of the two original MSX Metal Gear games, as well as the VR Missions from Metal Gear Solid 2

On top of the serious sound boost and a new coat of HD paint, PALGN can also reveal that the collection will boast full trophy and achievement support for the PS3 and Xbox 360 respectively. If that wasn't enough to impress your friends online, then you'll also be pleased to learn that Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker will have a six-player online multiplayer mode for both the PS3 and 360.

^ Maybe we'll see a HD remake packaged with MGS Portable Ops, or perhaps theres a Twins Snakes remake in the works and there holding off for the Wii U as MGS TS was a GC exclusive and is far more suited to an HD remake than the Psone original.

The MSX remakes are a welcome inclusion as I never got round finishing MG2 on Subsistence.

It's a shame there is no Twin Snakes HD included, but I can't see Konami intentionally excluding it. Nintendo must own some of the rights to the game and won't let them.

Twin snakes was a remake? A remake of a remake is a little silly. The entire game would have to be re done rather than a HD reworking, would be my guess.
