LA Noire: The Collected Stories announced

Expanded universe material is all the rage these days, and you'll be hard pressed to find a game that doesn't have a book, comic, movie, spin-off, or some other tie-in. L.A. Noire is no different, and to celebrate the game's unique narrative driven crime noir style Rockstar Games has revealed a collaboration with Mulholland Books to produce a series of eight short stories, from eight individual writers, that span characters and crimes that will feature in the full game.
The full list of stories and writers include;
- The Girl by Megan Abbott
- What's in a Name? by Jonathan Santlofer
- Hell of an Affair by Duane Swierczynski
- Black Dahlia & White Rose by Joyce Carol Oates
- See the Woman by Lawrence Block
- Naked Angel by Joe R. Lansdale
- Postwar Boom by Andrew Vachss
- School for Murder by Francine Prose
Planned to be released separately over time, those interested can take a peek at an excerpt from The Girl by Megan Abbott by clicking here. Additionally, readers can wait until 6 June, when all eight stories will be bundled together in LA Noire: The Collected Stories, with a forward by Charles Ardai.
