Black Ops 'First Strike' DLC hitting PS3 and PC in March

PS3 News | Are you prepared to answer the call?
Activision Blizzard has today confirmed that the Xbox 360 exclusivity period for Call of Duty: Black Ops 'First Strike' map pack will soon expire, with the DLC set to head onto the PC and PlayStation 3 in March.

With the DLC racking up over 1.5 million downloads within its first 24 hours on the Xbox Live Marketplace, it's no wonder that the company is keen for the map pack to see a release across other platforms. At this stage the PlayStation 3 release date for the DLC is confirmed for 3 March, while the PC is scheduled to follow "later in the quarter" (which by Activision's calender will end on 31 March).

Currently no price point has been confirmed.

I won't be rushing out to buy this one. I'm still a bit butt hurt from when they initially started charging for extra maps instead of just having them free in an official patch (like in COD4). Not only that I thought the meager selection of maps in Blops was ass to begin with, so laying down my hard-earned for something with the potential to be equally as crap-tastic (or should have been their to begin with) isn't very appealing.

Might cave and get them if it looks like they will be needed for our local LANs, but if it's solely for online play I won't bother. I managed to get along fine with the PC gaming crowd without buying MW2 at all. Only put in 7hrs into the multi since I got Blops anyway.

Pass, it's still broken online so until they fix it I won't be paying for more content that I can't enjoy.
