Ubisoft announce My Fitness Coach: Club

PS3 News | Get rid of that post-Christmas gut.
A press release from Ubisoft has confirmed that the company will be releasing another fitness game, this time for PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii. My Fitness Coach: Club follows on from Your Shape: Fitness Evolved, a relatively successful project which made good use of the Xbox 360 and Kinect combination (you can read the review here).

The game will be developed by Ubisoft's Blue Byte studio in Düsseldorf, and plans to take advantage of the PlayStation Move features. Meanwhile, Wii owners will still have to use a peripheral camera, as seen in the original Your Shape game. Players will be able to interact with a personal trainer, and do exercises based on six different areas of the fitness - core body, upper body, lower body, cardio, balance and flexibility. All of the routines have been researched with real-life fitness professionals, so players can expect to get a genuine workout.

Exclusive options for the PlayStation 3 include a feature to upload your own music. The tracks will be analysed and players can get fit while working out to the beat of their favourite bands and artists. Ubisoft will also be providing additional downloadable content through the PlayStation Network, which provides up to twenty-four hours of additional routines.

My Fitness Coach: Club will be available in March of this year.

I highly doubt this will be anywhere near as good as the Kinect version, which at least has the benefit of 3D full body motion capture.
