Konami double delayed in Australia

Distributor of all things Konami in Australia, Mindscape, has informed us that two of their flagship titles have been delayed. The bad news is that the Australian release for both Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 have been delayed. The good news though is that it's only for one week.

Both were originally scheduled to release on 7 October, so their new release will now be 14 October. While any delays are disappointing, regardless of how long they are, history suggests that it could have been much worse. Even though the Pro Evolution Soccer franchise has made our shores quite proficiently, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is one of the first Castlevania titles to actually be released in Australia close to its overseas release, as can be seen here.

All of a sudden, one week doesn't seem so bad. However, players who want a Castlevania fix much sooner, PSN+ subscribers have a demo available right now, while normal PSN and XBLA subscribers will have a demo available to them after 29 September. A Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 demo has been available on both systems for a little while now.

I'm guttered. I know it's only 1 week. But that 1 week makes a big difference around exam time. :(

Well more good news it has been delayed again!!! EB and Game are now saying this won't be out until 19 October.

Also despite the adds in Gameinformer specifically stating check out the great pre order deals at your local retailer now there have been NO preorder deals anywhere! Whoever is handling the release of this game in Australia is doing a really bad job.
