The Last Guardian gets a release date

PS3 News | Sort of.
After confirming that Ico and Shadow of the Colossus are both heading to PlayStation 3, that left the everyone asking one question; what about The Last Guardian? We all want it, and now we know when Team Ico's latest project will be available.

Kotaku has reported, from Team ICO's Tokyo Game Show press event, that the game is on target for a release in 2011, during the 'holiday period', and that the developers will 'do their best' to make this date. What exactly does that mean for gamers in the southern hemisphere? It means that we still have a long wait ahead of us, because The Last Guardian won't be appearing on shop shelves for at least another twelve months.

Fumito Ueda will be making an appearance at the Tokyo Game Show later today. Stay tuned.

That's not the news I wanted to hear. I wanted to hear "It's coming tomorrow, to your house, expressed."
