E3 2010: Developer of Flower unveils Journey

PS3 News | Don't stop believin'.
Flower developer thatgamecompany has revealed its latest project at E3, the exotic adventure title Journey. The developer promises to continue 'its tradition of delivering simple gameplay and accessible controls in a rich interactive environment that invites players to explore and experience emotional chords that are still uncommon in video games.'

So far we know that Journey will be a PlayStation 3 exclusive which is scheduled to be released sometime in 2011. The developer has further explained that the game will be set in an unknown world, where the player will be able to walk, glide and fly through the landscape of this strange environment while discovering the history of an ancient, mysterious civilization who inhabited the land before.

Journey is said to encourage players to explore the game's environment and link up with strangers who cross their path from time to time, stating that by travelling with a stranger, players will be able to re-shape their experience with the title.

You can check out the first images of the title below.

I came for the 'Don't Stop Believin' tagline and I did not leave disappointed. Never change, PALGN.

This type of game is the exact reason I love my PS3 so much more than my 360 (but don't get me wrong, I have a lot of love for my 360).
You would never see a game like this on XBLA. Day one purchase for me!

This looks awesome. Also the sixth image is the bridge from Shadow of the Colossus.

Can't wait to see some gameplay footage (maybe we have to unearth artefacts of the ancient civilisation). Day 1 purchase since it's thatgamecompany.
