Pre-E3 2010: Creator of Rez to announce a new game at E3

PS3 News | A possible return to synesthaesia.
According to an article posted on Gameblog.fr, Tetsuya Mizuguchi will be announcing his new game at E3 next week.

Mizuguchi, who is well-known for the creation of series such as Lumines, Space Channel 5 and of course, Rez, has previously mentioned that he would like to work on a sequel to the rhythm rail-shooter.

His new game is codenamed Child of Eden, whereas Rez was initially announced as Project Eden. This leads to speculation that Child of Eden may be the sequel fans are waiting for, or at the very least a spiritual successor.

To add fuel to the fire, Mizuguchi's company, Q Entertainment, have recently updated their Twitter feed with an announcement reading:

"Q Entertainment's new game to be revealed on Monday @5pm PST at the LA Theater. Set your clocks now! Return to SYNESTHAESIA!!"

For those of us living in Australia, that's 10 AM on Tuesday, 15 June. Get ready.

Rez 2! I'm going to be seriously disappointed if it isn't Rez 2. Wonder if it'll be in 3D, not that I'm going to get a 3DTV any time soon, certainly could be within Mizuguchi's interests.

Sick, Rez is epic. Though I have to wonder what they'll do with 'vibration' functionality now, especially considering the shapes of the wiimotes, move controllers, and natal actually letting you use your hands..
