PixelJunk Shooter 2 announced

PS3 News | More junk for your trunk.
They say you can never have too much junk, and it would seem Q-Games agrees, with PlayStation Blog announcing a return to arcade fun with PixelJunk Shooter 2, for the PlayStation 3.

Unfortunately for the hoarders out there, today's junk pile will have to be small, with Q-Games being rather stingy on any goodies beyond the announcement itself. Okay, they did mention that it would be bigger than the first game, and would implement many ideas they were unable to implement into the first game, but that's it! We swear!

Not that anybody is complaining, with the announcement serving as fantastic news for those after more physics driven pixel shooting goodness. While we wait, why not take a glance over the images provided and start some rampant speculation? After all, the official PixelJunk Shooter logo now features two spaceships. Online co-op, anyone?

What? No Encore?

Probably my least liked PixelJunk game strangely.

Would much prefer a Monster sequel too.
