Final Fantasy XIII sells over a million copies

PS3 News | In Japan.
On the very first day of its release, Final Fantasy XIII has sold over 1 million copies in Japan, making it the best selling PlayStation 3 game in Japan yet.

In a world exclusive review, Japanese video game magazine Famitsu awarded Final Fantasy XIII an impressive 39/40 score.

The Final Fantasy series continues to sell well in the Japanese video game market, and we are certainly excited about the upcoming English language release in March 2010. In the mean time, you can look forward to an in-depth preview of the game on PALGN soon.

From what I've read there was 1.8 million copies shipped with 200k of that being bundles.

I have also read that bundles aren't included in the 1 million sold as well.

I would have loved one of those lightning PS3 slims.

oh god those ps3 slim lightening i would have loved to. Does this number include all the orders on play-asia? cos if it is i am one of em icon_smile.gif

Great sales indeed. Here's hoping the game does just as well in the English speaking world. I can't wait to get my hands on it next year. icon_smile.gif
