God of War III Ultimate Edition revealed

It has been hinted for several months now, but Sony has finally revealed the God of War III Ultimate Edition.

The Ultimate Edition will come packaged in a sculpted replica of Pandora’s Box, and will feature a copy of the game and an art book featuring exclusive art, content and interviews. The rest of the content will be redeem codes for all manner of downloadable goodies via the PSN, including a Combat Arena environment with seven challenges, a premium Kratos Dominus skin, a full-length “Unearthing the Legend” documentary depicting the history of the God of War franchise, a God of War Trilogy soundtrack, and God of War: Blood and Metal EP which is an original heavy metal Album inspired by God of War.

If that isn’t enough to wet your appetite then did you know some lucky people are going to be able to download and play the E3 2009 God of War III demo from today onwards? Unfortunately at present this only applies to US gamers who pre-order the game at selected retailers, though word on the street is the demo will also be included in the Blu-Ray release of District 9.

God of War III is scheduled to be released in March 2010. You can check out a product image of the Ultimate Edition below.

Not on the local release of District 9 apparently. you might need to import it from the US for the demo.
Thats a bas ass looking box and all, and i love art books. I'd be a bit dissapointed that the Soundtrack isn't actualy on CD though. You'd think the box is big enough to fit it in there.

As far as I can tell, it is only for Americans right now. My brother id desperate to get it and Amazon seems like the best bet. Anyone had any experiences with pre-ordering stuff from there.

pretty sure they don't ship to AUS ? at least on some things ....

Sony sent me a promo code for the GOW III demo this morning. Comes in at a whooping 2.2GB so long down load!! 65% done. can't wait. Will leave another comment once I've given in a good thrashing!! Any one else get the code? PSN ID Katalystacv8

Not impressed - just looks like an overly decorated box.

Artbooks are hardly looked at a month after I buy a game... yes the PSN downloads are cool - but Sony is bound to release those a few months after release.

I am guessing a $129.95 for the collectores agains 99.95 for the standard which will be $79 at JB.

The American realease is $40USD more then the standard edition... I reckon at least $150 if not more.

whats the last game you saw for 79 bucks at jb. Other than odst and forza they are all 89 or more these days. Makes sense since our dollar is rising pfft. Our games should be 65 bucks at most lame

Although it is true that they are starting to charge more for their games, which is more due to the fact that they were previously making such a tiny profit on games that they probably couldn't keep the low prices going.
