Anyone know if the Wipeout expansion is worth picking up? I loved the game but even though it sounds like there's a lot of content there, it is a bit expensive.

I bought it and set it to download before I left for work. I'll try and post later tonight what I think about it.

No Savage Moon DLC?

This is getting annoying, 3 weeks in a row I've been waiting for Trine (never been this excited over a PSN release), it better come next week. It has to anyway, they said it WILL be coming July, and next week is the last July update.

I also really want the Wipeout HD Fury expansion, but I think I'm better off waiting until Trine comes, I prefer buying everything in one shot then having lots of small amounts show up on the credit card, which my mum will later scold me for. icon_lol.gif

As far as the Wipeout HD Fury expansion goes; whether it's worth it is up to you. There's a lot of content there.

Just to clarify the article there's; 4 new tracks (with reverse) playable in all modes, and 4 tracks specifically for Zone/Zone Battle/Detonator (only playable forward in those 3 modes). The 13 new ships (one for each team) have increased stats compared with their corresponding original (usable in all the old content, so the new Piranha can be used to Beat Zico, if you've not done so yet), and 2 unlockable skins (the skin from Zone Battle, and campaign skins - the same as the silver ones attained by completing the original campaign). There's a new campaign as well, with 80 events (compared with 87 events in the original).

So far I've sunk about 10 hours into it, getting gold medals on all of campaign. Money well spent in my eyes.

I'm curious about how good Shatter is if anyone picks that up. Looks like it could be a good little arcade game.

Trash Panic is actually a lot of fun, and for less than $9 I'll probably buy it one day.

on the EU playstation blog - the playstation store rep said not to get your hopes up for a Trine release next week for one of the replies in the comments section... so looks like it will be August.

From the couple of hours I've put into it, it is very similar to the original game. A new campaign (old and new modes to play) with more ships to unlock and a slick new interface. I've not tried Fury multiplayer yet but the original vastly improved recently in the last couple of patches.

That sucks. I don't in any way condone piracy, but this isn't helping the issue one bit. It's becoming increasingly difficult to wait for the bloody game when the PC version can be so easily obtained from your favourite torrent site. And it costs nothing... But I'll wait, because I won't pirate games.

Yeah, what of it? icon_razz.gif Until Sony start distributing PSN cards here, it's my only option to buy things off the PSN. She doesn't mind, as long as I pay her back. icon_lol.gif

would it still be piracy if u 'borrowed' it from the torrent site and then just bought the PSN version? thats probably another issue all together!! Im happy just to wait for the PSN version so I co-op on the big screen - much better experience.

hehe - no no ur previous post just sounded like u had free rein over ur mum's credit card... not that im hear to judge of course but glad u pay her back!! I would have thought lots of smaller charges on her credit card would be less obvious than say one big $50 or $100 charge.

It's a sleeper hit in the making in my eyes. Played 3 hours straight last night and wanted to keep going too. Best $10 you'll spend all week.

My other half is getting this thanks partly due to my help. Got this demo (haven't purchased it yet, looking for a bargain) on the ipod Touch and was surprised to see it when we (my other half and I) were browsing through the PSN. My other half never played any variation of Tower Defence before (which I found it as an insult icon_razz.gif and he called me a boring gamer pfft) so I was the advisor during the demo.

One improvement I've spotted (I hope this one was updated on the ipod version) is the level of the character was on its head. Also, the controls was so much easier than on the ipod touch. A must for FF fans who needs Tower Defence with FF theme, otherwise, play the Tower Defence on WC3 if you have that game or just play the free flash version on the web.

It would be great if its out on the PSP though.

Crystal Defenders has a demo , how is the game ?

I got up to like the 3rd boss in Shatter, died and haven't played it since.

Good game but sadly I buy a lot of games off PSN that I play for maybe an hour and then not touch them again.

Yes. You only have 20 wave though and could only use 3 class out of 6 I think. I suggest getting the demo before buy. For me its average, only because I've played Tower Defence on Warcraft 3 as a map and online flash on Kongregate?.

For me, the demo was just so-and-so.
