PlayStation Store Update

PS3 News | It's that warm and fuzzy time again.
Once again, it's time for another PlayStation Store update. You can see we've dispensed with the "This week's" portion of the article title, as it's fairly obvious we're talking about this week's update. I mean, why would we talk about last week. Or the one three weeks from now? It's silly, really. Not that we don't like silly. But getting back on track, highlights this week include a demo for Savage Moon and a multitude of new full PSP games.

PS3 Demos
  • Savage Moon Demo - 207 MB
An action strategy game set on an asteroid, where you must defend your mining facility aginst legions of insect-like alien creatures that pour out of the asteroid's core.
  • X-Men Origins: Wolverine Demo - 636 MB
We missed this update last week, as it came online a day after we wrote the article. However, it's still up if you feel the pressing need to slice and dice things, bub.
PSP Games
  • Key of Heaven - AUD $29.95
An RPG adventure set in a mythical kingdom ruled by five clans, featuring over twenty hours of gameplay.
  • LocoRoco - AUD $29.95
What can we say? It's LocoRoco. If you have a PSP and you haven't played this game, then your only hope of rescue from under that rock you've been living under is to try it. Tilting singing blobs around has never been so much fun.
  • SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 2 - AUD $29.95
Lead a team of Navy SEALs into fourteen vast missions to restore world peace in some good old tactical military action.
  • World Tour Soccer 2 - AUD $29.95
Play against 71 national teams in World Tour Mode, unlock more challenges in Medal Mode and join Wireless matches against other players in eleven multiplayer game modes.
PSP Demos
  • Imagine Champion Rider Demo - 170 MB
Train your horse, all the while building a strong relationship with them and watching how their horsey emotions change. Includes a mini-game where you lead your horse into battle as part of a vicious cavalry. We may have made that last bit up.
PS3 Game Packs
  • Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. - US Eagles Pack - AUD$8.45
Inclueds the F-4 Phantom II, the RF-15 Peak Eagle, the A-12 Avenger II, the F-111F Aardvark and the SR-71.

Not much other than the Defense Grid demo unless you're a PSP owner. The Franz Ferdinand Rock Band tracks might be worth picking up though.

I'm a PSP owner only I have 0% interest in buying PSP games off PSN.

The only thing worth dl-ing was the awesome Tekken 6 trailer.

You don't just watch the trailers on YouTube or similar and save yourself a hundred MB of quota?

It would be worth getting LocoRoco from PSN just for the convenience. Shame it costs $10 to $20 more than it does to buy the UMD.

I would be more inclined to purchase PSP games from PSN if there was a way other than credit cards to buy them..

^Like a prepaid system that Wii and 360 has? I know some PSN users who could never buy anything off PSN.

Nothing of interest in the update for me.

The Wolverine demo is pretty cool, I'll definitely pick the game up later on.
