I know everyone is ******** and moaning about the whole "Guitar Hero rereleasing tracks" crap, but this is freaking awesome in my opinion. I only got on the guitar hero bandwagon with World Tour so it's awesome to be able to play the best of the old bunch without having to source all the other games.

Besides, YYZ is worth any fricking asking price on its own.

But then you have multiple GH discs and it would get annoying swapping them all the time.

The best songs are from guitar hero 3 which i own. Still get it though at a good price, cannot go for too long without RATM "killing in the name".

I was wondering why I don't have any good songs to DLC for GHWT. I think it's a good time to b#tch about this.
There is only a need for one Guitar Hero, 1 Rockband and 1 Singstar!

When I saw Singstore I thought "Yes, this will change everything, 1 disc, 1 account and only the songs I want!". Now you have a pokemon problem again (Gotta catch em all!)

I don't want all the songs off this disc but I will have to get it because I really want to add RATM, AFI, Incubus and Dragonforce to my collection. (I would buy it if all it had was Rage!!!) I guess they win again. icon_sad.gif

I would've liked to have seen Sunshine of your love, Paint it Black and La Grange from GH3, rather than AFI, Barracuda and Priestess (Really hate that AFI song especially), but overall the list is still awesome. Hopefully they'll include a way to play the old note charts.

To be honest i thought theyd release more from GH:3 than the rest.
Hopefully they'll release the rest as DLC, that'd be sweet.

So the leaked setlist was 100% right.

The following I care about:

Blue Oyster Cult - "Godzilla"
Helmet - "Unsung (Live)"
Ozzy Osbourne - "Bark At The Moon"
Pantera - "Cowboys From Hell (Live)"
White Zombie - "Thunder Kiss '65"
Iron Maiden - "The Trooper"
Jane's Addiction - "Stop!"
Kansas - "Carry On Wayward Son"
Lamb Of God - "Laid To Rest"
Lynyrd Skynyrd - "Free Bird"
Avenged Sevenfold - "Beast And The Harlot"
Rage Against The Machine - "Killing In The Name"
Reverend Horton Heat - "Psychobilly Freakout"
All of the Rocks the 80's songs.

That being said, there's a couple of things that suck about this.

1. Some of the songs won't have the solos from the covers in these games, I.e. the crazy ending of Them Bones.

and 2. There's been rumblings that some of the charts have been unnecessarily hard like what happened in Guitar Hero III, Beenox is doing the game, not Neversoft.

Please tell me that choosing that atrocious 'Freya' over Hangar 18 is just a big joke. Please.

Queen-Killer Queen
Repaired.

..and they skipped Muse's Knights of Cydonia, because?

I'd prefer if they released all the songs from the previous games as DLC tracks. That way I could choose the songs that I really want, not buying this disc for about three songs...

So the songs from GH1+2 will be master tracks now rather than covers?

I'll be willing to bet that it'd be something to do with Dave Mustaine's relationship with Rock Band. The entire Peace Sells album is on the marketplace, too.

And Azza, That ain't fixed or repaired. Just not a fan of that song. icon_razz.gif

But...but that would be fair to the players. We can't expect Activision to stoop to those squalid depths now, can we? Seriously, giving consumers choice instead of wringing money out of the idiots? Why don't we all just go live in Communist Russia?! icon_surprised.gif

Yeah, that's what they've said.

And not happy about Raining Blood, that's the reason I've still never finished GHIII on expert. Hopefully they'll make the chart a little easier this time round but I somehow doubt it.

I expect the "Mosh 1" section to be those Tappy String notes, to be honest.

Anyone care to speculate on how much this will cost? It seems the deciding factor for me.
Here's hoping <$100, hopefully $50 as I already own GH 2 & 3.

probably the same price as aerosmith/metallica on release.
actually scrap that, eb has it listed for $90, so guess thats rrp.

Was planning on picking this up as I assumed Knights of Cydonia would be in it. Knights of Cydonia with full band would = absolute win x 1000000000000000000000... but AFI ahead of Muse? I'll save my pennies and pick up Rock Band instead as I've been dying to play Hysteria.

I want New Born personally, New Born on bass is a freaking awesome song to play. Although Hysteria is sick too, why don't I own Rock Band again? Oh right, I'm an idiot.
