Wet no longer a publisher orphan?

PS3 Rumour | Bethesda rumoured to have picked up Wet.
Today, reports are filtering in over one of the last remaining homeless Sierra titles which resulted from the Activision-Blizzard merger, the action title Wet.

Many online stores product pages for the title are now citing Fallout 3 publisher Bethesda Softworks as the publisher that's going to swoop in and save Wet from extinction, although no official word has come from Bethesda as yet.

The promising third-person action title has excited many gamers as it boasts over-the-top action that will feature an emphasis on fast-paced gun play and acrobatic sword fights that would leave Uma Thurman's 'Bride' green with envy.

PALGN will report on more details as they arise.

I can remember being mildly excited for this when the first trailer came out, but that was almost two years ago now. The more recent trailer looks fairly good... for an almost two year old game. It's not so impressive now.

Since the Bethesda Blog is reporting on WET now, I'd say it's more than a rumour they picked it up.

The blog even has WET under the 'Bethesda Sites' down on the right. The official site's title is also now WET - Bethesda Softworks
