Burnout's 'Cops & Robbers' DLC dated

PS3 News | More thrills and spills coming to Burnout Paradise late April.
Continuing on with its epic post-release support of Burnout Paradise, the game's developer Criterion has confirmed that the upcoming 'Cops and Robbers' downloadable content will be arriving on April 30.

While the fresh content's release has been confirmed, details are still sketchy on what exactly this DLC will bring to the table. Currently, all that is known is that players will be able to embark on the thrills and spills of high-speed car chases in the open-world of Paradise City.

Another important detail which eludes the gaming public is the price of this latest content pack. Given that Criterion are yet to spill the beans on this and confirm which platforms will see the April 30 release, we are quite confident that more details will emerge in the coming days.

I think it's meant to be an online multiplayer mode kind of similar to CTF, where the robbers have to pick up gold somewhere on the map and return it to their base, while the cops have to stop them doing that by performing takedowns. Sounds like fun, but if the prices of their recent DLC is anything to go by, it'll be overpriced.

The cop cars all look fantastic and they are in their country of origin police livery / language as well.

Funny how no sale figures are ever released for DLC with the exception being Valve.

Well expect this to be priced at around $25... seriously with the pricing EA has been going for with the previous Burnout DLC, I wouldn't be surprised if it was $30...

I like burnout for the game as is and the free downloadable content. The rest is all a bit "meh meh" to me.

I agree the pricing has been outrageous on the car-packs, but $30? That's only just under the retail price of this game these days. In fact I'm sure I saw it for $29.95 on sale recently.

How much was the Party Pack? $15? I'd say it'd be similarly priced to that.

Big W had it on sale for $30 recently and it retails at $50 as it is now a platinum title on PS3, not sure if it's been made a classics title yet though.

I still reckon it will be more than $15, simply because the podcasts have been making it out as though it isn't just liveries and the mode, that cars have been changed and so on, really seems like a campaign to justify a steep price. The Toy Cars were $20 for us, and they required little to no coding to be made...
