More Call of Juarez details emerge

PS3 News | Gameplay details emerge.
Today Ubisoft has released some new details the upcoming Call of Juarez prequel, Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood.

Due out in the middle of the year, Bound in Blood will give players the choice between controlling one of two playable characters - Ray and Thomas - in the single-player campaign. Like the previous Call of Juarez title, each character will have their own distinct characteristics, with one character focusing on long-range combat, while the other will be an expert in close-range fighting.

The game's multiplayer mode will come complete with a mixture of team-based objective and death match modes. Multiplayer will also introduce a bounty system which will see players earn notoriety based on how many opponents they take down. The more kills a player has, the more bounty you earn when you pick them off.

Don't forget to check in to our media panel to take a peep at the first images from Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood.

Could turn out gold, as the original Call of Juarez were very solid. The biggest problem was the horrendous 'stealth' levels with Billy. So broken and tedious...

But the ditching of that in favour of a close/long range character separation is a great move.

Fingers crossed, because playing as a psychotic bible bashing preacher makes for endless fun.

Really looking forward to this...

I played the demo of the first game, and loved the first part, but the stealth section shat me to the point of closing it and not playing again.

Being able to look down, and see my own foot as I pressed the kick button to kick objects around was awesome.

Never bought the first, but after seeing the trailer I'm rather interested in the sequel...

While I agree that the stealth sections were pretty bad, in my opinion the worst thing about the original were the excruciatingly long load times.

I'm exactly the same. I played the Preacher part of the demo over and over, but after trying the Billy section once I realised I couldn't bear to play a whole game like that.

I'm hoping the developers give it a rest with the platforming and the whip, because they made half an awesome game the first time around.
