Pearl Jam DLC coming to Rock Band

PS3 News | Even flow, DLC arrive like butterflies...
The backstage area of the 2008 Spike TV Video Game Awards proved to reveal one mighty big secret with confirmation that Pearl Jam's debut album "Ten" will be rocking its way onto Rock Band as downloadable content in 2009.

As previous downloadable albums have not featured songs that are already contained on the existing Rock Band discs, it is likely that the Pearl Jam DLC will not include the popular track "Alive" as it is already featured on Rock Band 2.

The remaining eleven tracks from "Ten" that will be featured are:

  • Once
  • Even Flow
  • Why Go
  • Black
  • Jeremy
  • Oceans
  • Porch
  • Garden
  • Deep
  • Release
  • Master/Slave

Pricing is yet to be revealed, though it is highly probably that the pricing scale will be that of previously released Rock Band content.

Gamers will have a bit of a wait on their hands as the Pearl Jam DLC is earmarked for release in March 2009, but like all good things, the wait will be worth it.

That was a really good album. My favs were 'Black' and 'Jeremy'.

Rock Band seems to be getting some good tracks, not that I play these guitar games.

Looks like they'll be doing special package deals too... It's clear that the tracks will be DLC, but at the same time the subheading of the press release indicates that there will be instore promotion too.

I'm absolutely loving Rock Band 1/2 - we now have over 300 songs and the variety is just awesome - no swapping discs - just play it all from one interface. I particularly love that in tour mode all randomly selected song sections will select from the entire database.

Bring on Ten. icon_smile.gif
