Tekken 6 heading to Europe in Autumn

PS3 News | Aussie release still pending.
Namco has announced today that their upcoming fighter, Tekken 6, will be released across Europe in Autumn (that’s Spring for Australia) 2009. While a release window has yet to be confirmed for Australia, given our game releases are usually tied with Europe, we suspect the game will arrive on our shores in a similar timeframe.

Tekken 6 marks the first time a game in the series has been released on multiple platforms. According to Namco, the title will feature the usual high definition graphics, as well as the biggest cast of playable characters in any Tekken game to date. There will also be a character customisation feature that will add personality and “further intensify the fighting action and multiplayer gameplay modes”.

Accompanying the announcement were eight new screenshots, which can be found in the media panel below.
