DLC on the way for Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm

PS3 News | Believe it.

Namco have announced today that their upcoming PS3 exclusive fighter, Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm, will be receiving free downloable content over the first five months after its retail release.

The DLC will include additional support characters such as the infamous Sound Four, as well as new single-player missions. Details are a little sketchy at the moment, but Namco were able to confirm the dates when specific packs would be available for download in America, where the game is being released on November 4.

November 6, 2008: Shizune
December 4, 2008: Asuma
December 18, 2008: Kurenai
January 8, 2009: Anko
January 22, 2009: Jirobo
February 5, 2009: Kidoumaru
February 19 2009: Tayuya
March 5, 2009: Sakon

Unfortunately, Ultimate Ninja Storm isn't scheduled to be released in Australia until November 20, so it's unclear if this will affect our territory. We'll keep you posted.

Sweet, total cash in for something that should have shipped with the game. They aren't even trying to hide the the fact they are trying to extort the fans. Dattebayo.

Free DLC is only a good thing, i'd bitch about it if you had to pay for it. but this means we get the game sooner.
I'm not all that deep in the Naruto-verse, but are either of the Hokage that are coming with the GameSpot pre-order in that list?
