Eternal Sonata PS3 coming in early 2009

PS3 News | Not too long, now.
Atari and Namco Bandai announced today via press release that Australian Playstation 3 owners will be able to get their hands on the previously exclusive Xbox 360 title Eternal Sonata, when it is released here in Q1 2009.

The Playstation 3 port of the game promises to include exclusive quests, events and multiple endings to enhance the story of the original, as well as the additional characters Crescendo and Serenade. There will also be new costumes, allowing players to customize their characters' appearance, and even more of Frederic Chopin's classical music included in this release.

If you'd like to know more about the Xbox 360 original, then check out PALGN's review of Eternal Sonata.

This is good to hear. I wanted to play this game before but I don't have an Xbox. I am glad it is coming.

The only problem I will have is deciding how much to pay for this. I remember before on the gaming bargains that the 360 version was at 30 bucks. I think I want to pay the same or somewhat under 50 for this I guess.

You mean more than that black screen "exchange" between all the characters. Evangelion called, they want their ending back.

This was a phenomenal bargain when it was $29, and even with it's flaws (some useless cutscenes *cough*Claves*cough*and short-ness) it definitely deserves that 8.5.

Price does seem to be a sticky point on the game. I want it, but for a 'enchanced' port of a game thats been out for what, 16 months?
I'd hope it sells at a reduced price, but i'm willing to pay more then 50 for it.

I never got around to using here due to her her dying and all. Ended up with Viola, Falsetto and Allegretto for my power-team.

This game was good for 2 playthroughs though, so it kind of equaled out the longevity of it...

I was so disappointed with this game on 360, I didn't even finish it. I couldn't stand the characters.

I saw a trailer for the PS3 version, and it's got some scenes in it (not ending ones, as far as I could tell) that I never saw in the 360 version. It really makes me wonder how much they're adding.

Man, I could never find it on xbox for $30. Even in EB second hand it is over $60.

I played the demo and thought it was good so maybe I'll pick it up on PS3 if I can't find it for 360 much cheaper.
