bioshock or pes2009 demo first? thats a tough one

Thank goodness its a new month.. means I have all my download limit back..

If its the same demo as the xbox360 version though, I think I'll just save my time. I KNOW Im going to buy it anyway.. Better to save off playing any until I can keep going.. There's nothing worse than playing a demo and getting into it when it suddenly stops.. Of course, that's the whole idea..

Great news, I've been thinking about grabbing a copy of the game for 360, this is a good chance to see what the game is like since I don't have a HDD in my 360.

Bioshock for sure. I will be downloading both demos, but Bioshock will definitely come first.

assuming the PS3 port isn't fundamentally broken in some way, i'd probably suggest getting the PS3 version for the extra content.

although i suppose it's a choice of full-price, or 2nd hand...

there isn't really any extra content is there, mainly just puzzles or other things which isn't really attatched to the main story in any way? I guess this is really just for the people who haven't played it yet and for those who are now trophy whores.

And for those who don't own 360s! I never had a chance I tells ya!

I'll be hitting this demo up for sure. I love having internet quota again. icon_razz.gif

I'll download it tonight. Hopefully Bioshock 2 is released on all 3 platforms at the same time.

It makes me laugh when I look at the label on my 360 copy saying 'only on 360 and windows'. Maybe I should scribble a 'and PS3 too' on there.

Anyway, Bioshock is a great game and its worth picking up if you don't own it already. I hope the bonuses eventually come as DLC for 360 later on.

Bioshock remains the most enthralling game experience for me! The amount of atmosphere in the game is unbelievable. You really do feel like your 20,000 something leagues under the sea (or fathoms)! But not sure if the PS3 version has enough to make me want to play it again... I think the 360 version was superb, however these side missions etc may detract from that overall feeling of immersion into the world that is Rapture.

It's 1814mbs.

^ Woah that's big. Is the 360 demo the same? Cause I remember downloading that, but I can't imagine downloading something so big.

It's one of the bigger ones i think, the socom beta was 1500 odd mbs though.

I can't remember the exact size of the download on the 360 but it was definitely smaller than that.

they increase game sizes on blu ray because they can right? Maybe they just ripped the demo from the disk and didn't shrink it?

I think that would fall under "for the people who haven't played it yet". icon_wink.gif

Yeah its a massive download file. Doing the download now, pro evo will most likely follow.

Well I don't think so... People who do own 360s but haven't played it yet - those people are not playing it by
choice (or whatever). I've 80% downloaded it. I normally wouldn't download a demo that huge - but our ISP
gave us an extra 8GB of free quota per month to play with. icon_biggrin.gif

I thought the demo was brilliant... and hopefully a taste for things to come.

I'm playing the demo now, is it my imagination remembering the 360 version as looking better than this. Does anyone agree the PS3 Demo doesn't look as good as the 360?

“When we saw a post asking about issues found in the demo, we jumped on it immediately. And you know what, you’re right. The texture in the PS3 demo of the downed Big Daddy does not match our level of quality either. This slipped by. We admit it. However, I want to assure you that this is an exception, and not a rule, and while I regret this oversight, we put a lot of love into making this game look amazing for the PS3 and I’m sure that when you play the rest of the demo you will agree that the textures are not all like this one instance.

As for the other issues and concerns, we are currently diligently working to replicate any bugs, and will report back to you with what we find. Thank you for your vigilance here and moving forward.”

Yeah I grabbed the demo out of interest because I haven't played it in so long but it looks so awful compared to how I remember it! I hope it is rectified for release, in my eyes it is one of the greatest games released this generation.
