Capcom, make it less brown. Now!

Am I the only one who can see how ugly this game looks? Save for the explosions and the two protagonists everything is decidedly underwhelming.

It's coming off of (arguably) last generations most gorgeous game, and while RE4 had its faults graphically, for the time it was absolutely outstanding. This, actually suffers from similar graphical missteps as RE4 did. Only this time with the stock standard current gen screw ups of shiny skin and brown everything.

It's amazing how unexcited I am by this game. I played RE 4 and loved it but this looks like basicly the same thing.

I hadn't thought about the brown until now and I guess in the screenies it does look a little underwhelming. What I've seen of the gameplay trailers looks pretty amazing though I think.

It's Africa, what do you want it to look like? Personally, I think it looks great, only qualm is the shoddy UI from the E3 demo.

I was actually referring to the texturing and just general quality in character design, etc.

I think the shiny skin on that last screenshot is actually shiny brown (gloves?) clothing on the guy with the hammer.

I think it looks pretty slick! These browns look like The Beatles Yellow Submarine
compared to the browns of Resistance: Fall of Man - which is quite a brown game.

Having said that, there's no way I'll be able to play this. I miss out cuz I scare too easily.

Some of the newer screens look really well textured.

Really
Large
Screens

Somewhat agree about the character design, Chris' guns (the ones attached to his torso) are ridiculously enourmous.

I like those screens Cer, to me the desert ones were a turn off but those ones look great. I'm not talking graphically, I'm talking the darker area looks creepier and more like a horror game. I hope there is a decent amount of the game based in those sort of environments, or if not at least have the desert ones beat my expectations.

Well not everyone expected half of RE4 to take place in a medieval castle at night when it was first unveiled...
