Dissapointment. Where's the metal?

Wow - consider me impressed, I wasn't interested in the game after seeing the songs that were confirmed a few weeks ago but Dream Theater, Korn, Tool - it's looking a lot better...

But it's still not there yet, too few songs I actually like.

DAMNIT! Why is there still no Journey!?

Needs more metal, and I'm a bit annoyed the Smashing Pumpkins only get 1 song in the game and I have to pay extra for the others, while Tool gets 3 songs included. 3! That's more than any other artist! Maybe if I liked Tool I'd think it was great... ah well.

I noticed tonight that the Metallica album is already up on Live to download under the GH:WT name (though compatible with GH3).

CTRL+F Muse = big icon_biggrin.gif. Great song choice. I hope more Muse comes along in the form of DLC for GH:WT as I really really really want Hysteria, specifically to play Chris's bass which would be pure awesome.

The rest of the list is great too, a definite buy from me.

Totally agree. I did the same thing. Ctrl+F my favourite bands and lo and behold: Muse. This is really a launch day purchase for me, as it has so many of my favourite bands: Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, At The Drive-in, Mars Volta, Modest Mouse, Foo Fighters, Oasis etc. I hope I don't have any exams/assignments around nov 2, as they just won't get done.

The MTV unplugged version of nirvana, I'm buying this game just for that.

How the hell do Built to Spill not get in on this?

Dammit.

Lacuna Coil, I sure as hell didn't expect them to be on, but sweet.

Also **** win for Filter- Hey man nice shot.

Never heard of 95% of those songs, but who cares?

<3 music games.

i just realised, shouldnt "30 seconds to mars" come before "311" in an alphabetical sense?

I was a little disappointed to see Assassin as their choice. It's a good song and all, but there are plenty of songs that would be better. Hysteria would be the ducks nuts, I'd love Citizen Erased myself. I hope they have DLC with more than 3 songs.

A fairly solid tracklist I supposed, does need more metal, though.

I could almost buy this for Stranglehold, but I think I'm done with Guitar Hero now.

Now lets wait for reports saying they got rid of those horrible boss battles, there a massive turnoff.

I enjoyed the boss battles :/ Anyway would have liked to see some bloc party but whatever.

Makes me wish a song like Mastodon's "Mother Puncher" was on there. Something that would give a kick to the faces of every light-hearted listener that plays this game. I'm a sad panda. Eh. Hopefully DLC will bring us some metal.

What? although it was a bit of luck what powerup both you and the boss got, I really enjoyed it, as it added a bit of variation.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but GT3 has a lacuna coil song does it not?

Anyway, I love this track list. So many awesome songs.

Yeah, Guitar Hero III had Closer, however Our Truth is a much better song, so that's awesome.

Im surprised some people like the boss battles. So far Blink and Sinthesys you guys are the only ones I know who like them XD

I just found them an annoying side task, jamming isn't fun at all unless you can make your own music imo. If they want to make a good battle off I reckon they should give you the chance to at least create parts of the song yourself. (Of course they would have to put some restrictions on the intencity of it depending on what difficulty your playing), but a jam off isn't all one sided, you should make the A.I bow down to your awesomeness!!!

playing devil went down to georgia on expert is epic and hectic, and a great finisher to the game. Sure they would be boring on the really easy modes, but when you get to hard and expert , the boss battles are quite a joy.
