FIFA 2009 demo available next month

PS3 News | Demo available for PS3, 360 and PC.
Fans of the round ball are in for a treat with the FIFA Soccer Blog spilling the beans on the upcoming demo for FIFA 09. The FIFA 09 demo will be available to download from September 11 on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, while PC users will have to wait an extra day with the demo coming to beige boxes everywhere from September 12.

PS3 and 360 users will have an entire exhibition match at their disposal, with the following 6 teams available for play:
  • Marseille
  • Schalke
  • Real Madrid
  • Chelsea
  • AC Milan
  • Toronto FC
The demo will feature ‘increased accessibility’ as well as the option to practice your skills in the Arena. Both the console and PC versions of the demo will unveil the new Team Management feature: giving players a chance to sample a number of tactical options that will be available in the retail version of the game.

I know alot of people will disagree but I really wish Manchester United was in the demo like 08 icon_razz.gif Regardless I can't wait to see how this one looks and plays because I was really impressed with this years version. So naturally this is a day one download for me.

hope the demo is good - this will be the first year that I will buy FIFA on release day - I have FIFA 08 on the PC and it plays almost as good as PES - I reckon that this will be the edition where FIFA overtakes PES -
Also, Live Season looks like a a dealmaker for me ...

What a joke. They've released so many damn sequels that now they've jumped an entire year ahead. icon_razz.gif

Even for EA, that marks a new low. icon_confused.gif

EDIT: yes, I was just making a pun on the name (didn't realise that every title was set in the year to come - thought they had actually released too many). No offence to the title intended, possibly just an offence to comedy. icon_razz.gif

I have almost no doubt this will be the first year I buy FIFA before PES in the cycle. But I'll wait to play both demos.

I just saw some footage of it just now.

Looks exactly like 08, most noticeably in regards to the in-game interface. I was looking forward to it, but now I'm not so sure. I'll give the demo a shot though.
