PS3 BioShock dated

PS3 News | October 24.
Publisher 2K Games has confirmed that first-person shooter BioShock will be arriving on PS3 in PAL territories on the October 24, three days after the North American release.

The rather short delay between territories mirrors the Xbox 360 release of BioShock, which was released in North American on August 21 last year -- with PAL versions hitting three days later. Of course, the overwhelmingly positive critical reaction was the same throughout the world.

"We are proud to introduce 2K Games' showcase title, BioShock, to an entirely new audience," said Christoph Hartmann, a man in charge over at 2K Games. "With the addition of the new add-on game content we are able to extend the award-winning adventure while maintaining the perfect harmony that millions of players around the world have fallen in love with."

Of course, the new content he would be referring to would be the 'Survivor' difficulty mode and, most notably, downloadable content in the form of 'Challenge Rooms', which put a heavy emphasis on solving puzzles using abilities obtained throughout the game rather than a quick trigger finger.

I have this game on 360 and its a fantastic game.
For all those with a PS3 who havn't played it, I highly recommend it. It controls great, has a interesting story and the atmosphere is awesome. And with the new content you get (lucky buggers) it's a must purchase title.

I didn't really enjoy Bioshock. It was all right I guess, but I normally don't like the extremely popular games. I thought Gears of War was an ok game, but not a 10/10. More like a 7. Same with Bioshock.

doesn't the PS3 version also have an extra zone in the single player campaign in addition to these challenge rooms, or was that a rumour?

for some reason i thought it was confirmed, and it made me consider getting it again purely for that inclusion.

i still might if/when it goes budget priced. i already have it on PC and XBox 360.
