At long last the PlayStation 3 exclusive Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will be hitting Aussie stores tomorrow at the recommended retail price of $119.95. While many would consider the game worth every cent, so that you don’t break your bank balance we’ve compiled a list of the current specials on offer around Australia.

For a big release such as Metal Gear Solid, it seems fitting that Big W are selling the game for the cheapest price of $94.84. I'll be trading in Haze and Unreal Tournament 3 tomorrow at JB to get MGS4 free. Now MGS4 is out, I don't really need those games

I just rang my local GAME to confirm my preorder for the limited edtion and it's all good. Pity I can't pick it up until friday though...

hoping i can pick up a copy of POTC at world end from EB tomorow. then trade that and my US copy of Dark Kingdom in at jb maqaurie. i want that saga dvd!! i didnt pre order but they usualy just hand freebies out anyway

the cheapest i could see it for, through buying from EB and trading at JB (if EB won't watch the JB trade in price) is through buying Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End - Preowned and either Call of Duty 3 - preowned or Lost Via Domus - preowned which would get you the game for $72.39 (less if you've got an Edge card - theoretically, $65.15).

additionally, the EB website now has a thing that shows which stores have things in stock. i don't know how often it's updated, but you could get an idea of route to take.

I have some games at my shop we bought in for $10 each, ill purchase them then go down to EB!! and there you go MGS4 for $30

Thanks for the Info. As much as I want to pick this game up tomorrow, the shops I have been into in the Frasercoast region havn't had a PS3 instock for 2 weeks. Kinda strange.

I'm buying at EB and price matching Big W.

Why? Because I'm lazy. EB is five minutes walk from where I'm sitting right now. Everywhere else is not.

Becuase im absolutely broke untill the 7th july.

Im gonna trade in resistance at eb games for lost, then head over to JB Hifi and do the 2 games and get MGS For free. Hope this works.

i have resigned myself to the fact that i am not going to get it. after calling two ebs, a game, jb hifi, wow and gametraders, only game and eb had even heard of it and they said it was sold out 5 months ago.

i only want the dvd that has the background story, so im not that interested in a making of bluray and the action figure is only something of mild interest to me, so i have cancelled my preorder from amazon and im going to just get an australian version with the bonus disk. partly so i can ge online soon and kill denny

and the other thing. is metal gear onlione part of this game or a seperate release?

JB's trade deal seems like the way to go but I really should have planned ahead. Now I've just got to hope I can find myself 2 cheapish PS3 games on such short notice.

^ Im on the same boat as you Cap. I used their search function to see what titles are available where and I'll most likely head down to the closest EB to my house after work if they have it otherwise it's not worth the trouble.

I wasn't even planning on picking up my copy today, but with a plan like this, I couldn't resist. I ended up paying ~$66. The trade in value for the game at EB is $105 so it's going to work out pretty well.

Now all I've got to do is find out who's selling the MGS4 PS3 for the lowest price and get EB to match that. That PS3 is so close now, I can taste it.
