Tracklist for SingStar Volume 2 emerges

PS3 News | Set for release on June 19th.

The tracklist for the upcoming SingStar: Volume 2 on the PlayStation 3 has been confirmed, along with an official Australian release date of the disc for June 19th. Along with the new tracks are new features which have been made available already to those with internet connections, including the new Harmony mode which allows two people to sing in a different key on certain songs to form a melody.

Without further ado, here is the tracklist:

I'm still miffed about the piddly amount on songs gracing the mighty BLU-RAY PS3 iterations of Singstar. Not surprised, just annoyed.

That said, there are some quality tracks there, where 'quality' means 'great to watch other people sing'

so do people who own the original ps3 singstar need to fork out for this one or are the songs going to be available on the online store?

also do the new features get patched into the original version too? I love my singstar but it feels more like i am being milked for cash rather than buying some exciting new version of the game coming out...

i won't be buying this, theres a few songs i want (offspring - a guilty pleasure) but i don't wanna buy the whole disc. So hopefully they release them via the online store, but i doubt it

^^ yes they are going to release these songs on the singstore - i read on a forum somewhere.

Karai - its more got to do with licensing songs - they say it takes them a long time and costs money to license the songs so if they were to put 60 songs on the blu-ray disc - they would probably charge you double.

Im disappointed with this track list - not much that i really know but Im really bad with music. I just wish they would put some of the new stuff up especially stuff that is charting right now on the Top 40.

The additional features are actually already available via an online update for SingStar.

Previously released tracks will not use the Harmony feature - only newly added tracks will have the option including a select number of tracks on Volume 2.

This is because if they wanted to incorporate it into past songs already available, they'd need to go back and re-encode a lot of the back catalogue.

I believe 3 or 4 songs added last week (along with the Harmony mode patch) use it already, though, including 'Get Free' by The Vines. Don't quote me on that though!
