Haze bargain round-up

PS3 News | Hazy on which retailer has the best offer?
After its delay late last year, Ubisoft’s Haze will finally be hitting store shelves tomorrow. So that you don’t end up paying the full retail price of $119.95, we’ve compiled a list of the current specials available across Australia.

Lasting for a period of one week, Kmart will be offering Haze for the best price of $87. In case your local store runs out of copies or gives you that annoying ‘our delivery was delayed’ excuse, then JB Hi-Fi are the next best thing with a price tag of only $89.

For a complete list of Haze specials, please look below. Also, remember to check out our weekly Australian Gaming Bargains feature, where we brave the hazy winds to bring you the latest specials available across Aussie retailers.

So are PALGN doing this with every game now or just certain ones chosen at random? icon_wink.gif

Big titles.

EDIT: Let me elaborate, any big exclusive or title we think people care enough about will get a bargain round up. One of the first changes implemented from the survey (and certainly not the only one!)

I wish good luck to all who are still buying, I hope it turns out to not be as bad as its made out to be!

After seeing all the horrible reviews, I've got a bargain tip for ya':

Don't buy it.

There was a memo sent out to all JB Hi-Fi game staff about a slight delay regarding shipments of the game. Due to a packaging error, certain metro based stores will receive the game on Friday 23rd while for more rural stores, shipments of Haze won't arrive until Monday 26th.

I thought this game looked generic from day one, and that was based solely on the art....

^s that supposed to look cool or something? It screams mediocre sci-fi shooter, not even the helmet looks cool. For all it's faults you have to admit halo's masterchief on the otherhand looks badass.I understand the whole 'judging a book by it's cover' thing, but it's right(apparently) in this case, and will also be right with banjo..

**** man, I said the same and for that exact reason! That mother **** er's lucky my fist didn't go all the way thru that stupid helmet!

The other reason was it's Ubisoft/Free Radical....imo their fps's were actually quite crap! Timesplitters 2...pfft, mish-mash of characters with a stupid aiming system! Stuff needs to have a clear direction and purpose, like Bioshock, Halo, Half-Life etc, Timesplitters 2 was just heaps of random crap chucked together and for some reason this was awesome? Yea cool make your own maps n' **** but damn atleast make the aiming normal.

I'm just going to say this right now.

Have any of you actually played the game, or even a short demo of it at least? Yes? No?

No? Then don't you think basing your whole judgement on a few reviews is a little... too soon, I guess? Honestly, look at Assassin's Creed. Many people hated it, many people liked it.

Like I said in the Haze thread, I've been talking to a lot of my PSN friends list who have the game, and a lot of people are really enjoying Haze. I really enjoyed the demo, can't wait to pick it up tomorrow.
