Metal Gear Solid 4: LE coming to Australia

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is set for release next month, but Atari, the distributor of Konami products in Australia hadn't yet confirmed or unconfirmed whether Australia would be getting the limited edition of Metal Gear Solid 4 or not.

Well, we asked Atari and today they confirmed that the limited edition of the game will be available in Australia. However, the numbers for the limited edition are "very limited" and won't be available at all retailers. We asked Atari to elaborate on this but they weren't able to confirm which retailers would be stocking the title. So far we're pretty sure EB Games has a limited amount of stock, but according to Kotaku stocks have already been exhausted. We'll keep checking with Atari and we'll let you know whether other retailers will have a chance at securing the limited edition.

GAME are getting the LE too. I got a call from them last week asking if I wanted to upgrade my pre-order to the LE. Which of course I said a big fat yes to.

Gotta try and secure a copy of this somewhere. Im hoping EB gets more cos it will be the cheapest place of all with their 15% off coupon. What is the RRP anyway?

I tried to pre-order it last week from EB Games and the comp said it had been discontinued.The guy said to check back in a week to see if there was any change.I'm gonna go see about it tomorrow.

Seconded. GAME also have the LE. To my knowledge the RRP is $160

I hope my order goes through! When I ordered my EB store didn;t know there was a LE so hopefully im okay.

I'm not sure the LE edition is ever worth it. Although I do like my Big Daddy....

The game will be $120 RRP anyway. So it's not THAT expensive compared with the GTAIV:LE.

umm hold on just a second here buddy - GTA4 the standard one was $120AUD some stores made it $99AUD- $87AUD the SE edtion was $150AUD

Oh man, the beauty of this is that just as I'm finishing off the bulk of my time with GTA4 this will be just around the corner.

Might wait and see if it will be worth it actualy i love my big daddy figurine and i love my gta 4 special edition (only cos i paid $127.50, so i wasnt too pissed about paying heaps for a game). but this one for $160 does not seem as "packed" as the gta 4 special edition. a $129.95 rrp seems more reasonable. especial since ill be able to get the standard for aprox $78
