Burnout Paradise PS3 owners to get new feature

PS3 News | Customized map shows what you still need to finish.
PS3 owners of the title Burnout Paradise will be able to analyze their save game file thanks to a nifty new feature on the recently-released Bogart software update.

Criterion explains that players will be able to import their save game onto a USB drive or Memory Stick and then head over to criteriongames.com to analyze their in-game progress.

Criterion explains that 'we create an interactive map that allows you to view the location of all incomplete discoverables. That includes Jumps, Smashes, Billboards, Junkyards, Body Shops, Paint Shops, Gas Stations and Car Parks.'

While this has been built in to the Bogart update, Criterion explains that their technicians are putting the finishing touches to this informative new feature, with its release expected 'imminently.'

That's a neat little trick, hope more games implement something like this in the future.

It is a neat trick, though I'll doubt I ever bother doing it..

I've already seen the credits roll on Burnout Paradise, so I'm waiting for a more meaty update.. Bring on those motorbikes, day/night racing and extra islands Criterion, I just can't wait much longer.

It's good to see that a game is getting some decent post launch updates and future expansions.. and supposedly free too.. AND from EA.. what is the world coming to?

Man I love how open the PS3 is to these sort of features icon_biggrin.gif. If I hadn't already done everything (except 40x multiplier in stunts and the final licence that depends on getting the 40x) I'd definatally want to check that out icon_biggrin.gif

I don't see the point of putting it on a usb stick and then uploading it via your pc.. (at least that's the impression i'm getting from this article)

The PS3 has a web-browser.. should be able to access the website within the game!?
