COD PS3 Variety Map Pack now available

Activision has confirmed that the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Variety Map Pack is now available for download through the PlayStation Network. To celebrate the launch, the PlayStation Network will host a Double XP weekend where players can earn twice as many experience points as they battle gamers from specific playlists on the new multiplayer maps starting immediately until 4:59AM Sunday April the 27th.

Players will also have the opportunity to play with developers from Infinity Ward on Friday, April 25, from 4 a.m. to 7 a.m. AEST and 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. AEST. To play against the developers, add the following PlayStation Network IDs to your friends list.

Activision also confirmed that the Game of the Year Edition of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare will be hitting Australian retailers soon. The Game of the Year edition will contain a token to download the new Variety Map Pack.
