SingStar PS3 Volume 2 announced

PS3 News | The first new 'disc' for PlayStation 3.

After SingStar was released back in December, the focus has been on the online SingStore and what new tracks will be added to it every fortnight or so. Well, now karaoke fans have something else to look forward to, as SingStar Volume 2 for the PS3 has been announced, and shows that obviously the online store isn't the only way you can buy new songs.

Much like the PS2 expansions of SingStar, Volume 2 is set to feature 30 new tracks from artists including The Killers, Eminem, Kaiser Chiefs and Gorillaz, and will actually add a new game mode into the mix called 'Harmoney Duet', as well as PSP remote play compatibility.

While there are no further details at the moment, it does raise a few questions for those already in possession of the original SingStar for PS3. Will the tracks on this disc be available for download off of the store? Will the new game mode be available for new downloadable tracks, or is it 'Volume 2 exclusive'? There are certainly a few concerns with the new disc being announced, but hopefully we'll find out some answers in the near future.
