GTA IV PS3 bundle on the way for Europe?

PS3 Rumour | Retailer suggests so.

According to an article on GamesIndustry.biz, Shopto, a UK retailer, has revealed that Europe will be getting a new PlayStation 3 bundle on April 29. Priced at GBP £299 (roughly AU$635), the bundle will include a PlayStation 3 console and a copy of the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto IV.

"We know for a fact it is coming out in Europe and we are expecting an announcement in the UK any time," said Igor Cipolletta, COO of Shopto.com.

Despite GTA IV’s release being a mere (but painful) three weeks away, an official announcement hasn’t yet been made due to confusion as to who will be distributing the bundle, according to Cipolletta.

"We are not sure if Gem or Centresoft are distributing it yet, that seems to be the hold up," Cipolletta added.

For those who are curious, Gem handles the distribution for GTA IV publisher Take-Two, while Centresoft distributes on behalf of Sony. We’ll report back once Sony makes an official announcement.

I think this bundle will also show up in Aus, around the 1st of May I think I read.

Yes, this bundle is coming out locally. I work at JB Hi-Fi and this has been on our system a week or so at least, 1st of May it is.
