New release date for Alone in the Dark

PS3 News | Survival horror title's release pushed back yet again.

It looks like fans of Alone in the Dark will have to keep twiddling their thumbs a little longer as Atari has confirmed that the reboot of the titular survival horror series will be pushed back another month from its previous release window of May 2008 in order to receive more polish.

"The game has been postponed from May to allow the development team at Eden Games to polish the game to an even higher standard and deliver the best possible experience to gamers with this remarkable product," said head of Atari UK's Public Relations Lee Kirton.

Thankfully, the wait will not be much longer, with the PC, PlayStation 2, Xbox 360 and Wii versions all set to drop into PAL territories on June 20. Unfortunately, PlayStation 3 fans may be forced to wait even longer as it currently has no confirmed release date attached.

That'll give gamers plenty of time to figure out what to do with the sticky tape...

God damn it, why no PS3 version? Oh wait, the game comes out one week after MGS4

If their going to push the title even further back for polishing then they should just wait that little longer and release it across the board for all consoles.

Surely the PS3 version is not that far behind. Wasn't this game initially just PS exclusive?
