Unreal Tournament 3 gets new map pack

PS3 News | Best of all, it's free.
Epic Games have announced today, via a press release, that a new ‘Bonus Pack’ of maps is now available for both the PC and PlayStation 3 versions of Unreal Tournament 3.

While the pack only includes three maps, it's completely free to download, always a good thing. Coming in at a reasonable size of 160MB, it includes the classic stages Morbias and Facing Worlds, as well as the all-new Searchlight map which is designed for Capture the Flag matches.

To download the pack, PC users can click here or go to the official Unreal Tournament 3 website, while PS3 owners can find them on the PSN.

Free map packs is how us PC gamers roll.

Indeed! Although I'm surprised that Facing Worlds wasn't in there to begin with, honestly - you couldn't ask for a more 'classic' UT map than that, and they had it in the last iteration(s) of UT from the get-go.

There's nothing new in our store (unless the PAIN extras are new).

That's really odd. It should be there.

Sydney, Australia – 28th March 2008 – Midway and Epic Games announce that downloadable content for the award-winning first-person shooter, Unreal Tournament 3, is now available for PlayStation 3 and PC. The downloadable content consists of three deadly arenas: Morbias, Facing Worlds and Searchlight. PC users can find the new content at www.unrealtournament3.com, while PS3 users can download it directly from the PlayStation Network.
Hmm, my guess is that either Sony haven't updated the PSN yet or it's a mistake and it will be coming next week.

Okay, the maps should be there now. There were some technical difficulties, apperently.
