50 Cent: Blood on the Sand announced

PS3 News | Will it pass the OFLC board?
Sierra Entertainment have announced today via a press release that they will be releasing 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand, a follow-up to 2005’s 50 Cent: Bulletproof, on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 later this year.

While Sierra didn’t mention too much about the plot, Blood on the Sand will once again allow players to take control of 50 Cent in order to protect his assets and collect payment from a crooked overlord. The game will feature the voice talents of 50 Cent, G-Unit’s Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo and DJ Whoo Kid, as well as exclusive music tracks performed by 50 Cent and G-Unit. In terms of gameplay, there will be drop in and out co-op action, "interactive counter-kills, driving, and aerial combat."

“We are taking this sequel to the next level with exciting combat and gunplay, new original music, great graphics and a new story,” said 50 Cent. “50 Cent: Blood on the Sand will have everything my fans are looking for in a 50 Cent game.”

50 Cent: Bulletproof was actually refused classification in Australia, but an edited version of the game was granted an MA 15+ rating after a resubmission, so whether or not Blood on the Sand will need to be edited for Australia remains to be seen.

Wow - did anyone actually look at the screenshots? I have to say, I wasn't impressed until I got to image no. 5 - seriously, that pic just made my day. Not only is 'Fiddy so entirely OG that he can gut punch some poor bastard hard enough to make blood shoot our of his groin, but check out the expression of the guy thats been hit! You can almost hear the caramel baritone of the narrator letting out a long, expressive 'Daaaaaaammnnnn!' along with it icon_biggrin.gif

Gold. Pure gold.

Evidence 1: for case against having an R rating for Video Games in Australia.

If you remember the original was denied classification in Australia and was later edited icon_rolleyes.gif and allowed the MA 15+ rating.

Does anyone remember this?

Interesting... If you replace 'latest racing game' with 'last 50 Cent game', 'MMO' with 'drop in/out multiplayer', 'sword' with 'gun' and 'publisher' with '50 Cent', Blood on the Sand sounds/looks a lot like this:

*sorry to fans of 50 Cent, 50 Cent himself and the publisher. Just an observation.
