September Killzone 2 release date 'not gospel'

PS3 News | Guerrilla Games tells it like it is.
Plucky readers up and early today may have noticed more than a couple of websites rampantly reporting a few already-known UK release windows for Sony's upcoming PlayStation 3 hits in the making, as news.

LittleBigPlanet was there as a September hopeful. So too was Resistance 2, still planned for November. Of course, the highlight of all reconfirmations was the long-delayed Killzone 2's September window.

But it was a highlight that had not gone unnoticed by Killzone 2 developers Guerrilla Games in the subsequent crazed forum thread in response to this 'news'. Wisely nipping another disappointing delay in the bud, Guerrilla Games QA Manager Seb Downie apologised, informing fans to "please take any release dates, or months with a grain of salt. If we haven't announced it, it is not gospel".

As always, expect Killzone 2 to be coming round the development mountain when it comes.

Another developer on the game posted this in the thread "We're not confirming OR denying the date - we're simply saying that you shouldn't take any date as gospel unless you heard it from us."

So at least they are not denying September.

Ha, I read the month of November on another gaming site as "not gospel".
