More bands announced for Guitar Hero: Aerosmith

Last month, we reported that a new Guitar Hero game was coming soon, in the form of Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. It was a very interesting decision on the part of the Guitar Hero gang to focus on what seemed like just the one band, but it has been discovered that other bands will also feature on the disc.

According to Game Informer, Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry has mentioned that other bands including The Kinks, Cheap Trick, Mott the Hoople and Joan Jett will also feature in the new game in the successful franchise, alongside some previously announced artists such as Lenny Kravitz, The White Stripes and Deep Purple.

This is certainly good news for those that were worried about the game being packed with only Aerosmith songs, and this announcement could certainly inspire non-Aerosmith fans to add the game to their collection. Guitar Hero: Aerosmith is currently scheduled somewhere around June and will feature on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and PS2.

Am I missing something here? This makes no sense and the game even worse! At least having a one-band disc made sense in the way that it was very specific for people who liked them. I personally wouldn't even think of playing it for Aerosmith - but now they'll throw in some songs by bands I do want to play and it's just going to be a mess. What a horrible horrible idea guys!

We cannot get Rock Band soon enough in PAL regions.
