Dead Space to get animated prequel

PS3 News | It slots in before the game but after the comic book.

EA and Starz Media have announced that an animated feature is in the works for the upcoming survival horror action game Dead Space.

Set to follow on from the initial comic book prequel, the animated film is set to fill in the gaps from the end of the comic to the beginning of the game where players will follow the story on the futuristic mining ship as a dormant alien presence is rediscovered.

Reports cite that Starz Media is currently in talks with distributors to have the prequel aired to a worldwide audience on broadcast television before then being packaged for a DVD release.

Currently no release date for the project is known.

Oh yeah, come to Nicky.

This is easily my #1 most wanted game (bonus for coming out on Halloween!) and I'm going to be getting my hands on every little extra I can.

I love it when game companies go all out like this, it really enhances the experience (and shows that they have faith in their product).
